Jackie Rathbun, Certified Functional Nutrition Coach

A personal understanding of chronic health

Hello, I’m Jackie.

I know how discouraging it can be when your body no longer feels like your own—and the usual answers do not explain the whole story.

My own experience managing Hashimoto’s helped me see how nutrition, digestion, stress, hormones, daily habits, and emotional well-being can influence one another. It also taught me that sustainable change is rarely about finding one perfect food, supplement, or routine.

Today, I help clients slow down, understand the patterns within their health story, and turn overwhelming information into practical next steps. My role is to bring functional-nutrition expertise, education, structure, and encouragement. Your role is equally important: you bring the knowledge of your body, your life, and what feels realistic.

Together, we create an individualized path that respects your goals, preferences, capacity, and beliefs.

Could functional nutrition be a fit?

When Symptoms Feel Disconnected, Look for the Patterns

Functional nutrition coaching may be useful when you want practical support understanding how food, digestion, stress, energy, mood, and daily habits may be affecting one another.

Fatigue, low energy, or not feeling like yourself
Digestive concerns such as gas, bloating, or constipation
Stress, mood changes, anxiety, or emotional depletion
Hormonal balance, headaches, or recurring discomfort
Chronic health concerns that call for a broader view
Confusion about nutrition or where to begin

You do not need to identify the “right” starting point before reaching out. The discovery call is designed to help clarify what may be most useful next.

More than a meal plan

What Functional Nutrition Coaching Means

Functional nutrition looks beyond isolated food choices to explore underlying and contributing patterns. Jackie considers your symptoms, health history, digestion, routines, stress, sleep, preferences, and goals together.

The aim is not to hand you a generic protocol. It is to help you understand your health more clearly and create individualized nutrition, supplementation, and lifestyle recommendations that are realistic enough to use in daily life.

Education that helps you make informed choices
Recommendations shaped around your needs and capacity
A collaborative process that can adjust as you learn

A clear, individualized beginning

What Working With Jackie Looks Like

The process begins by understanding where you are now, what brought you here, and what changes are most important and realistic.

01

Health-History Intake

Before your first session, you complete an in-depth form. During a 90-minute conversation, Jackie listens to your health story and explores factors affecting your body, mind, and daily life.

02

Food, Mood & Pattern Review

A short, judgment-free journal captures food, hydration, symptoms, energy, and mood. There is no calorie counting or grading—only useful information that helps reveal patterns.

03

Your Personalized Protocol

In a 60-minute planning session, you and Jackie create a manageable nutrition and lifestyle protocol focused on the most useful next steps.

Ongoing support may continue through structured follow-up packages or individual check-ins, based on your goals and the level of guidance you want.

Honest support for real change

No Magic Pill. No One-Size-Fits-All Plan.

Lasting change grows from understanding, partnership, and consistent choices—not perfection.

Jackie will not promise a quick fix or hand you a generic protocol. Together, you will shape recommendations around your concerns, physiology, capabilities, and real life.

The process asks for your time and participation, but it should not ask you to become someone else. The goal is to build changes you understand, can practice, and can continue adapting over time.
